Supervision
Individual Clinical Supervision
In my time as a social worker, I have enjoyed the process of supporting student interns and onboarding new employees, so it seemed natural for me to become a state approved clinical social worker. I like being there to support people as they advance their career and acting as a sounding board as they talk through ethical dilemmas or moments of countertransference. The bulk of my experience has been in the medical field, so I am very familiar in working in host settings and being part of an interdisciplinary team that doesn't always understand the role that social workers bring to the table. Individual supervision sessions are a mix of case presentations, discussions about relevant podcasts/articles/short videos, as licensure exam prep.
Please note, I am not currently in a position to supervise an associate-level clinician who is operating their own private practice.
Group Clinical Supervision
I am the co-facilitator of a supervision group. We meet the second Saturday of each month from 9am-12pm via Zoom. The group is comprised of social workers from many different sectors of the field and offers an opportunity to not only get feedback from multiple colleagues, but also network and learn more about how social work roles look in different settings. Each month has a rotating theme for discussion and provides time for case presentations and licensure exam prep.
Cost and Rates for Supervision
Individual: $60/hour
Group: $30/hour or $90 per session
I intentionally have kept my rates for supervision on the lower end of the market to help reduce financial barriers in the licensure process. I am grateful that the supervisor I had when I was getting licensed had the same mentality, so I like to pay it forward to current supervisees.
